Building My Investment Portfolio

From a Random Act to a Pension Planning Strategy

A journey of learning, growth, and intuitive decision-making. Especially learning how to be emotionally neutral to winning and losing. It is all part of the game.

From a Random Act to a Pension Planning Strategy

My journey into the world of investing began somewhat unexpectedly in 2004 with the purchase of a two-bedroom apartment. At the time, this decision, made without market analysis or projections of future value, unknowingly set me on the path to becoming an investor. Interestingly, this spontaneous beginning mirrors how my paths in coaching and fitness also evolved organically.

A decade later, in 2016, I found myself naturally gravitating towards the stock market. My investments there ranged from highly successful to moderately so, and this experience piqued my interest in exploring other areas like crowdfunding, loans, and startups.

I'll admit, my investment decisions have often been driven more by gut instinct than by thorough market analysis. This approach has brought its share of both triumphs and learning opportunities. For instance, I encountered a challenging lesson when I invested in a seemingly promising project, only to discover later that it was managed by a scam artist who had already declared bankruptcy prior to my investment.

Despite these challenges - including navigating the financial impacts of recent global events like war and COVID-19 - I have made several successful investment decisions. Each represents a step towards my ultimate objective: securing a stable and prosperous future."

My Philosophy in Investing

I believe in the power of intuition, complemented by a willingness to learn from both triumphs and setbacks. Investing for me has been a journey of discovery, mostly about risk-taking and patience. It's taught me resilience, the value of long-term planning, and the importance of adapting to changing market conditions

The easiest way to manage your money is to take it one step at a time and not worry about being perfect. Same goes with life - quit perfectionism and you can expect perfection in imperfection.
